30th November 2005

I have recently resumed visting my grandparents on a weekly basis as the O levels examinations have come to an end. Today I paid them a vist, somewhere in aljunied. Wasn't a very productive day if I may say so. I started on a book titled "To Kill a Mocking Bird" while I was there. Its pretty good.

29th November 2005

Today has been an unexpectedly good day and by good day I mean a day in which I did not slack through by having myself slumped onto the bed for 12 hrs straight, doing nothing but staring at the ceiling which grows increasingly interesting as boredom increases. Went out with J, Dinie, bowling at East Coast and there met Mr. Soos and 3 others whom I shall not mention. Started the use of the "Soos" style bowling technique, though I am unhappy with today's performance. I however would like to think that my dismal performance (never having hit 100 pts) was due to the practising of the "Soos" style, which I believe if properly mastered can be used as a tool to pave the way for many strikes to come (hahaha). Following that, we took an aimless stroll through the two great shopping centres in Tampines, in which J was trying desperately to find a movie to watch. It was most fortunate that show timings for the "Exorcism of Emily Rose" weren't suitable at the moment and thus I was spared the terror of paying $7 to watch my future nightmare. The main poblem lies in me, liking horror movies and yet knowing full well that I would later on regret. So passes the day swiftly and better than most. It was 6 hrs well spent (Or wasted?!?)

28th November 2005

This day has been a long one, the minutes seem to past like hours and hours seem to pass like days. Longing for night to overcome the day, I wrote a poem on NIGHT and had it posted on the poems section. I then continued writing my story, the Master Mages of Majestor, in which my interest wanes. I am saddened at the thought that my book can never be completed. Early this morning, I proceeded down to Mega Multimedia to trade in 5 xbox games, hoping to get a nice price of at least $50. The cheating, swindling scumbags only gave me $30! There was no wiggle room at all about the price and besides, these games were fairly old and I doubted that anyone would buy them, so I agreed. Had to use $40 of my own to buy X-men legends 2 which is not a really great game as reviews say. I'm never goin back there again, not even if you threw me into a sack, tied me to a horse and dragged me back there!

27th November 2005

Today has been perfectly normal. Woke up, cleaned room, washed clothes, made breakfast and the usual routine of watching Friends from afternoon onwards. Oh and my aunt's returning from China today. Will be too lazy to receive her at the airport though...there will be a large crowd already assembled there anyways.

26th November 2005

Went all the way downtown today, just to find items to place on my christmas list. First went down to Bugis with my aunt, cousin and sis, early in the morning at 10. Because I chatted until 3 am that very morning, I yawned most of the way to Bugis. The main attraction there for me, was the bookstore Kinokunia, though they did not carry a wide variety of books. Having found few books to my liking, I decided to head down to the main Kinokunia branch in Taka, which in my opinion, is the best book store in Singapore.

I made my journey down alone, walking swiftly to Taka to stretch my legs and rid myself of the fatigue which clung on to me ever since I left Bugis it seemed. Still yawning, I made my way to the 3rd floor, covered by a fleet of books. I was fairly stunned to see that the literature section ran almost the length of the entire store and I had no idea where to begin. Being sleepy certainly didn't help and soon i found myself selecting books at random, reading the summary to see if it sparked any interest. My legs soon hurt and I grew bored and well...let's just say that it wasn't the most pleasant experience. Found some nice books though.

I left Taka by 3pm, and walked back to Orchard MRT, dreading the train ride home. I always disliked going downtown...journey's far too long. If I thought that I would be facing a smooth journey home, I was wrong. Rain crossed my path as I neared Simei Mrt station. I sat on one of those stone benches on the station for a bit of a rest and I'm afraid that I slept for awhile. Following that, I took a walk in the rain, crossing paths swathed with rippling puddles, mud and coupled with a high probablity of slipping. So? Great day? I don't think so.

20th November 2005

Well I didn't do anything much today...lets see. Er...oh yea!! Today i finally managed to clear out my room. 3 weeks ago, I would never have thought this possible. The textbooks have piled up into a great big mountain of rubbish and the worksheets certainly didn't make my job any easier. Crap and objects long unwanted and useless were discovered and thrown away. Bits and pieces of...shall we say formerly useful objects lay around...you know...stuff like pen caps and er...plugs.

I began just after breakfast, ironically having just watched a show titled "How clean is your home?" My eyes flew to the big pile of books on the table. Armed with a big bag and having a sign board displaying the words "O levels is over!!" in my mind, I began to heave big stacks of papers into the bag. I found several items which sparked several old and hilarious memories (none of which I am able to describe in a way in which you could possibly understand) which was the fun bit...reliving certain days of my primary and early secondary school life. I even kept projects done by my group in pri 3... Old photographs resurfaced and so did several VS yearbooks :P

I took clearing of my room to the next step and decided to challenge the blanket of dust dominating several corners of my room, deciding that today was the day that I end their long planned invasion. A Vacuum cleaner was all I needed and it really was quite satisfying to see streams of dust lying dormant along the walls, behind beds and underneath cupboards disappear. Besides several coughs and chokes, nothing really spectacular happened.

There was also clearing of other things...but really, going into the detail would really drain me of whats left of my remaining energy. Lets just say that my room changed (Not to the extent of unrecognition though). I am amazed to, for the first time, see a cleared study table. Quite a relief, I have to say. I then helped my family set up a christmas tree (Damn it, if you think its too early don't tell me...I KNOW!!) Following that, I wasted away the rest of my day...slacking.

On the whole, this has been a very productive day. (Nah)
